Facility History
The Harborview Center opened January 15, 1996 placing Clearwater, Florida in an ideal position as a venue for trade shows, conventions, and conferences from international, national, regional and state markets. Managed by Global Spectrum of Tampa, Florida, the Harborview Center provides clients with 30,000 square feet of exhibition space on one level and 35,000 square feet of meeting, ballroom and public space on the conference/banquet level. The Harborview Center provides flexibility, experience and quality service for events of 40 to 1400 delegates.

The exhibit hall accommodates up to 180 8'X10' booths with electrical and telephone/data service on 25' centers. A loading dock and staging area are contiguous to the hall floor. Sound is zoned for paging and announcements.

The conference and banquet level includes a 17,600 square foot ballroom, divisible into halves or quarters and the 3,900 square foot Clearwater Room with at view of the breath taking harbor waters and gulf beaches skyline. Six additional meeting rooms range in size from 725 - 800 square feet. All areas are adjacent to 9,000 square feet of registration/pre-function space. Meetings of 40 to 140 can count on professional service of an experienced staff. Controlled climate, flexible lighting, and house sound make the conference environment comfortable and add to planning flexibility.

Food and Beverage service is available for any event and is provided by creative and dedicated banquet personnel staffed by The Distinctive Gourmet. Menus are imaginative and can be tailored to suit any convention or event budget. With a 3,000 square foot banquet kitchen, production of refreshment breaks or theme parties is done with ease and efficiency.

A sunlit, two-story atrium allows passage to the conference level from the exhibit hall and a covered main entrance just steps from 850 public parking spaces.

Located in downtown Clearwater, the Harborview Center is easily accessible from three interstate highways and two international airports. Over 4300 hotel rooms offer views of beaches and azure waters. Outdoor activities include sailing, golf, fishing and much more. Shopping, dining and entertainment choices make leisure time a continuing pleasure.

Airports
St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport is approximately 15 minutes away and Tampa International Airport is about 25 minutes.

Parking
Well lit, spacious parking lots may accommodate approximately 850 vehicles including buses and trailers. There are 1500 additional parking spaces within an 8 to 10 block radius.

Management 
The Harborview Center is owned by the City of Clearwater and managed by Global Spectrum.   Global Spectrum's operating philosophy is based on aggressive and creative marketing and promotion, targeted specifically to each market. Global Spectrum provides municipalities with innovative management systems and highly skilled professionals for quality management. In 1995 the City retained Global Spectrum to manage the daily operations. Global Spectrum is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with the regional office in Tampa, Florida and also manages other facilities throughout the world.
